1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a very effective in treating frizzy hair and gives a new life to the dull and unmanageable hair. The acidic nature of apple cider vinegar helps in controlling the frizz and makes the hair soft, smooth and easy to manage.


How to Use?

  • Mix equal amounts of water with apple cider vinegar to reduce its acidic property
  • Use it as a final rinse after washing and shampooing the hair
  • This makes the hair frizz less and also add shine to your hair
  • This remedy must be repeated every two to four weeks
  • Alternatively, you can apply apple cider vinegar diluted with water onto the scalp with a cotton ball
  • Comb the hair gently to distribute the solution
  • Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse your hair well
  • Repeat this once a week
2. Beer

Beer is yet another effective remedy for frizzy hair. It has multiple benefits for the hair. It is loaded with nutrients, minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants that the hair requires. It has been found that darker beers are best for this remedy than the lighter ones. It is an effective remedy to restore the moisture in the hair. Cold water is believed to help close the hair cuticles, which makes it less susceptible to frizz, and add shine.


How to Use?

  • Simply coat your hair with beer using fingers
  • Allow it to sit for a few minutes
  • Rinse it out with cold water
  • Do this once every two weeks
  • Another option is to mix equal amounts of beer, shampoo and conditioner

3. Avocado

  • Mash one ripe avocado
  • Add a little olive oil and mix it well
  • Shampoo the hair and then apply the mixture throughout your hair
  • Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour

  • Shampoo the hair as usual
  • Rinse the hair with carbonated water

5. Bananas

Bananas are also effective in taming frizzy and rough hair. It is rich in potassium, carbohydrates and vitamins and natural oils. It locks in moisture and add shine to the hair. It prevents split ends and acts as great conditioning agent.


How to Use?

  • Mash one ripe banana with a fork until there are no lumps
  • Mix in one-fourth cup of yogurt
  • Then add two tablespoons each of honey and olive oil
  • Apply the mask all over the hair and scalp
  • Put a shower cap over the hair and leave it on for 30 minutes to an hour
  • Rinse your hair and then shampoo and condition as usual
  • Do this once a week
6. Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is a nourishing ingredient that helps in treating frizzy hair. It provides optimum moisture to the hair and makes is frizz-free.


How to Use?

  • Put two tablespoons of coconut milk in a small pot
  • Heat it until warm
  • Make sure it doesn’t get too hot and burn
  • Apply the warm coconut milk on the hair
  • Cover the head with a towel
  • Leave it on for few hours or overnight
  • In the morning, wash the hair with shampoo and let the hair dry naturally
  • Do this twice a week to enjoy shiny and bouncy hair
