Home Remedies for Cystic Acne

Acne can be of many forms. Cystic acne is one of the most severe forms of acne. This occurs in the form of soft, fluid-filled lumps under the skin surface. These large, red breakouts are mostly painful and cause significant damage to the skin. In most of the cases the likelihood of development of scars is extremely high. This acne develops on the face, chest, back, upper arms or shoulders.

The skin pores are composed of hair follicles and sebaceous glands, the gland that secretes sebum. When sebum is secreted in excess, it clogs the pores along with the epidermal cells shed by the skin. Any infection in these clogged pores affects deep layers of the skin leading to cystic acne.
