White vinegar

Never use ice on burns

But sadly it is not the way you will heal the burn. Applying ice can do just the reverse of what you think. It can restrict blood flow to the skin, and further damage tissues which were already hurt due to fire.

Water

By putting the affected area under cold water tap you can prevent the fire from damaging more tissues. Keep your burnt skin under running water for at least 15 minutes.

All you have to do is take an aloe vera leaf, tear it apart from the middle and the gel which comes out of it is what you need. Honey

Milk

If it is possible, dip the skin affected by burn in cold milk fro some time, and if it is at some unmanageable place, soak cotton in milk and apply at the wound 4 – 5 times.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is an excellent home remedy for burns  and also for solving almost all skin problems. It contains vitamin E which is anti- fungal and anti- bacterial in nature due to the presence of fatty acids. It stops any type of bacterial activity on the burnt skin that can worsen the condition. Once you have treated the wound due to burn, it may sometime leave a burn mark over there, in this case add some lemon juice to coconut oil and keep on applying till you see the scar completely gone.

Lavender oil

The use of lavender oil is not new in healing various types of wounds; it has been used in the field from hundreds of years. This makes it a reliable home remedy for burns as well. This is highly effective and hence can be used to treat severe burns due to chemicals. You will feel relief instantly when you apply lavender oil on your burns. But applying it in pure form is not suggested, you have to dilute it before applying. Take one tablespoon of lavender oil and mix it with two tablespoons of water. Apply with a soft cloth or cotton on the skin affected.

Witch hazel

Witch hazel is an herb that can help you in healing the burns by improving the blood circulation. You can choose to bath in water treated with witch hazel, or just dip the skin affected by fire inside a solution of witch hazel, or apply with cotton swab if not possible to soak, making it one of the best home remedies for burns.

Banana peels

All of us love eating banana, but the peel of banana which we throw into dustbin after eating the fruit can be used to treat burns. When the burning sensation bothers you, just eat a banana and place its peel on your skin that has been affected by burn fro some time. It will send give it some coldness and will reduce pain. Who knew a worthless banana peel could turn out to be such an effective home remedy for burns.

It is true that for minor burns we get in kitchen and labs, we don’t need to go to the doctor, but it is not a good idea to completely ignore it as well.
