Apple cider vinegar

Rosemary

Baking soda

Baking soda is excellent absorbent, and hence soaks all the moisture from the skin, making it an effective body odor remedy . Body odor is generally caused by excess of sweat and baking soda can absorb the cause thereby reducing odor. Baking soda therefore works as natural deodorant and even kills bacteria to remove any infection. Baking soda is something that is easily available in our kitchen, and to get rid of peculiar sweat smell, you have to mix one tablespoon of baking soda in one lemon. Mix it well to fro a paste, and then apply it to your underarms and other body parts where you sweat excessively. Let it do its work for a few minutes, and then wash it off with cold water. Repeat the same for a few weeks to get things in order. Do not leave the paste for longer than 15 minutes as baking soda may cause irritation on the skin if applied for a long time.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice is great for treating body odor. Lemon is also highly acidic in nature, thus applying it lowers down the pH of our skin, which stops the odor creating bacteria to propagate. You can take out the juice of lemon by squeezing it and apply it with a cotton ball on your underarms and other parts, but a better choice is to rub. Take one half of the lemon piece instead of taking the juice out, rub it gently on the area you want relief in order to let it reach on every layer of skin. If your skin is already dry, you can dilute the juice with water and then apply. You can do this daily two times, as it is a really cost effective body odor home remedy .

You can make a natural deodorant with five drops each of sage essential oil, coriander essential oil, and lavender essential oil along with two ounces of distilled witch hazel. Mix them together and put the solution in a spray bottle to use as a daily deodorant. If you find it a bit complex simply add two teaspoons of sage in dried form and boil it in two glasses of water. Rinse your underarms with the solution once it cools down. Take a shower after that. This will do the needful, but use it only if you are not pregnant.

Witch hazel

Witch hazel, just like lemon and apple cider vinegar has the potential to control the pH level and thus makes it impossible for odor-causing bacteria to survive. In addition to this, it also contains astringent properties that contracts skin pores and help reduces the production of sweat, proving to be an effective and natural body odor remedy . Whenever you feel that irritating smell coming out of your body, soak a cotton ball in witch hazel and dab it under your arm to get instant relief.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has antibacterial as well as antiseptic properties to kill bacteria present on the skin and eliminate body odor. Also being an astringent, tea tree oil controls sweating, adding to its body odor remedy properties. Add two drops of tea tree oil to two tablespoons of water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and use it as a deodorant.

Radish

You must be wondering what radish has got to do with reducing body odor? Radish is beneficial for any health issues no doubt on this, but it can also treat you body when it stinks due to sweat. You can make an excellent deodorant of radish at home, a very effective and natural body odor remediey. Take a dozen of radish and extract there juice in a juicer. Mix this juice with a few drops of glycerin and save it in a bottle for using everyday. You can store it in refrigerator to prevent it from spoiling in summer.
